“ Everything about main and Lincoln is top. Traveling from Chicago this felt like I was still in the city. From the hostess opening the door and knowing exactly who we were for our 7pm reservation, to the waiter being attentive and talkative but not too much, to the food that was delicious. I dream about the tuna and avocado appetizer. The oysters were fresh and delicious. I got the salmon suggested médium by the chef and it had a nice crisp on the outside with Jasmin rice and just a hint of sauce making the perfect combination (a bit too much bok choy). Creme brulee was made by one of the staff and my boyfriend loved it, I'm just not a fan overall. The restaurant is spread out and allows for a quiet dining experience that feels personal. The hostess ran out of roses (it was the day after Valentine's Day) and she found me one to make my night more special. ”

“ Excellent meal overall. Service was personable and prompt at the bar. Katie makes excellent drinks and gives great service. We love the Salmon Tartare and Calamari- second visit and we ordered same apps. I had the Amatriaciana Pasta and pasta was perfectly cooked. Chicken Picatta was also good. No room for dessert. Best upscale dining in Valpo hands down. ”

“ We had the pleasure of dining at Main + Lincoln last night for the first time and what an experience!!! We started off with a glass of wine and an old fashioned. Their wine list is phenomenal and covers a variety. Cocktail was made well. We started with a half dozen oysters and one of their specials, the bone marrow. Their bone marrow dish one of the best things we've consumed in a long time. Wow! For dinner, we shared their special, scallops and risotto. Amazing! We are still talking about it, which prompted me to write this review. Our server was friendly and prompt. Everyone working there was actually. The restaurant was clean. Atmosphere was open and friendly and it was not noisy. We were able to have a conversation easily. Will definitely be back. We're looking forward to trying the salmon. Or another special. Fantastic experience!! ”

“ The food was tasty but overpriced. When describing the specials a heads-up on the price would be nice. $21 for a cheese and dime sized fruit salad? The restaurant got a bit loud as it filled up so I downgraded atmosphere a star. ”

“ Long overdue review. Main + Lincoln is a solid, consistent restaurant of choice for us. It’s where we bring out of town guests because we know it will always be great service and delicious food. The menu is fairly small, but there is enough variety to find something for everyone. Hands down best on the menu - Amish Chicken Picatta and Grilled Oysters. I typically don’t like oysters, and their grilled oysters are amazing. Anyone we’ve brought there loves these two dishes as well. Great place to sit at the bar and have a drink and appetizer. One of our favorite places in Valpo. ”
